The guest speaker at our September club meeting was Emilie de Brujin, Senior Community Lead with the Baby Bank Alliance. The Baby Bank Alliance supports and advocates for baby banks and families across the UK and Emilie gave us an insight into its work. We learnt about the invaluable work done by volunteers and the challenges faced in trying to support families in need.
We were surprised to hear from Emilie that very few people seem to know what a baby bank is. If you haven’t heard about baby banks, go to Baby Bank Alliance to find out more and to see where they are located in your area. Spread the word about baby banks so they can help as many people as possible.
