Masks around the World.
During this last year, “the Soroptimist Sewing Sisters” from SI Barry & District have been kept very busy making masks. They have been supported in their efforts by a grant from Barry Town Council. To date almost £1,200 has been raised in donations for Dinas Powys Community Library and £3,160 for local health care charities.
Our Facemasks have been distributed not only to most parts of Great Britain but also to Singapore,Switzerland, Italy, Doha. German TV and ITV have also featured our masks on news items. In keeping with International President’s Appeal – New Road to Equality Project – Making Masks, SI Barry & District have indeed gone global in 2020/21 and will continue for as long as the demand exists.
