STOP THE TRAFFIK – Joining Liverpool March against Modern Day Slavery, Saturday 16th October 2021

Lesson 1 – Introduction to Human Trafficking (1)Human Trafficking is insidious – a terrible scourge in today’s society hiding in plain sight.

Members of SI Warrington joined activist group “Stop The Traffik” in Liverpool city centre to march against Modern Day Slavery.  It was a silent march, with the banners saying it all.  Saturday shoppers in the town centre and tourists on the river front around the Albert Dock stopped to watch and took away leaflets providing information about how to spot someone who appears to be a victim of trafficking, and details of the specialist services you can call who will then investigate.  The annual march is first and foremast about awareness building – this year’s march will be held on Saturday 15th October.

LUSH, the soap and body products store, gave Stop The Traffik a stand in their flagship shop in Liverpool for the whole week leading up to the day of the March – funds raised from selling their hand and body cream will help fund awareness-raising activities by STT.
