Just 9 days to go as we count down to the launch of the new Repair Cafe on November 8th! We have a team of repairers waiting to help with your broken items so come along with smallish items to repair or just to have a look at our venue and to meet some of the team.
This first session we will have people who can help with sewing repairs, including mending soft toys, repairs of woollen items, repairs of beaded jewellery, carpentry/wooden repairs, art restoration, repairs of small musical instruments and mechanical fixes.
Please note: we don’t yet have a volunteer electrician so cannot carry out electrical repairs at this time.
We will be operating out of the downstairs rooms beside the cafe so please enter via the alley at the side of the Umbrella Centre and don’t forget that you can park at the charity car park across the road from the centre for a small donation. We look forward to seeing you on 8th!
If you think you can help with repairs to small electrical items, please get in touch. You will need to be a qualified electrician who is willing to give up a few hours once a month to volunteer with us (PAT testing certified preferable but we can sort if not).
