An Awards Night was held on September 23rd 2013 at Haigh Hall to celebrate awards to charities supported by SI Wigan.
A total of £5,745 was disbursed on the night from the money raised by the club members in 2012-13
President Cynthia Horrocks presented the awards to the following charities:-
- Maureen Burgess, Director of DIAS,
- Helen Ayles representing Baynard’s Trust,
- Maxine Armstrong from Wigan and Leigh Hospice,
- Past-President Louise Layland accepted cheques for the Christie Hospital and the Psoriasis Association,
- Danita O’Keeffe and Liam O’Keeffe represented Kidney Research UK,
- Gwyneth Millard represented Sightsavers
- Margaret Tipping from the FOMO charity.
