NAWO award

We end 2025 on a high note!

Every year, many Clubs organise special events and actions during the  UN’s 16 Days of Activism to stop violence against women and girls.

In December, The National Alliance of Women’s Organisations (NAWO) gave Soroptimist International of Great Britain and Ireland an award for this work.

Christmas charity

Every year, we choose a charity to receive a donation from us at Christmas.

This year, Shifa, the Woking charity that helps local women acclimatize to living in the UK and gain new skills, received £160.00

Holidays

We know that there is often a spike in the number of cases of domestic violence during holiday periods.  So with Christmas and New Year festivities coming soon, we are glad to see Woking Borough Council’s posters around the town.
