Soroptimist International Southern Region Meeting in early September.
A great management team
Enthusiastic Soroptimists
Impactful projects aimed at making the world a better place for women and girls:
SI Yeovil’s Orange the World mini-installations
and SI Woking’s knitted blankets for women in Ethiopia are just two of many.
Inspiring guest speaker: Greg Morris, chair of Hamlin Fistula UK told us about the seriously important work they do in Ethiopia to prevent and repair childbirth injuries.
And a ‘green’ quiz – fun, but with a serious purpose
A great opportunity to share experiences, learn from each other, gain new inspiration for our work –
Time to celebrate!
Women of ‘Our Time’ exhibition
An exhibition inspired by the Famous Women dinner service. See it at the Watts Gallery until November 2025.
Charity Bridge event
This event will raise money for local charities: Link-Able and Women’s Support Centre.

LinkAble
We were very pleased to welcome Sue Stockman, CEO of Link-Able, as our September guest speaker. Her enthusiastic account of the services offered by Link-Able impressed us all. Many chil
dren and young people benefit from the centre in Woking. Link-Able is raising funds to renovate the outdoor play area. The Woking Soroptimist event in October will make a contribution to that project.
