About SI Anaparima

Who are we?

Soroptimist International is a global volunteer movement working together to transform the lives of women and girls with nearly 80,000 Members in 124 countries.

Soroptimist International Anaparima Club falls under Soroptimist International Great Britain and Ireland (SIGBI) Federation.

SIGBI has 6000 Members in 270 Clubs in 18 countries in Great Britain, Ireland and countries in Asia, the Caribbean and Malta, who work at a local, national and international level to educate, empower and enable opportunities for women and girls.

 

What do we do?

Programme Action is the core of our work and consists of the following six key areas of our work;
  1. Advocacy,
  2. Economic Empowerment,
  3. Education,
  4. Environmental Sustainability,
  5. Food Security and
  6. Health Care and Violence and Conflict Resolution.

SI Anaparima has been making a difference to the lives of women and girls in Trinidad and Tobago since November 2018. This is achieved through Programme Action work focused on education, empowering and enabling women and girls.
