In July 2018, the Proposed Soroptimist International Anaparima conducted a Book Drive for four deserving young girls to continue their education. This annual project seeks to provide school books and other necessary school supplies, inclusive of uniforms, school bags etc. to students from low-income homes in our community. Far too often families are faced with financial challenges that result in obstructions in their educational journey.
Since this first Book Drive this annual project has grown each year. In 2019, Four more students were assisted via this project. In 2020 and 2021, seventeen (17) and fifty-seven (57) students respectively benefitted from this project.
