President’s Remarks – May 2024
As we progress into this new year, I look forward to continuing our mission of enabling, educating and empowering women and girls in our communities. From my very first meeting as a proposed member, I felt so happy to be united with women who shared a common desire and mission to educate, empower and enable.
Looking through the demographical lens of our club we have many young mothers, women who are ascending their careers and many are furthering their studies. There is no question family commitments and personal goals are competing for our time. Despite this, the common thread that knits us together is our desire to make that meaningful difference. Somehow, amidst all our demands, our club sisters brilliantly execute projects and innovative fundraisers.
This year our club encountered many challenges; this was due to major time constraints and personal commitments. We, however, held firmly together and powered through these struggles. Within our club we have a myriad of talents which is demonstrated through our program action. Our projects speak to the passion of our members.
My wish for SI Anaparima as we journey into this new year is that we not only empower in our communities, but we also empower within our Club and personal spheres. Though we are a very young club, just 6 years, we have touched so many lives! Let’s continue growing together while taking care of each other. Our consistent commitment, working harmoniously together and uplifting our members are the key ingredients in achieving our shared goal of making that resounding impact on the women and girls in our communities. We are the change agents for an improved society.
