Welcome to this website dedicated to the Soroptimist International Great Britain & Ireland Annual Conference which, this year, will be held in Birmingham. Please take a moment to browse around the pages particularly as this conference is to be slightly different to others you may have attended.
The Conference starts on Friday afternoon, 31st October 2025, with all the usual favourites – opening ceremony, parade of flags and roll call followed by our keynote speakers. All delegates will be together at this point to enjoy the session.
The plan for Saturday is where you have options. Saturday is to be split into four workshop sessions – two in the morning and two in the afternoon with plenty of time in between for you to meet friends, go out for lunch and so on. You may choose any one of the workshops in each session and since each session (known as Workshop 1, Workshop 2 etc) will have seven choices, we hope there will be something for everyone. Workshops are to be run by a combination of Soroptimists and/or external speakers.
On Sunday we all get back together again for Best Practice, Change of Insignia, new President address and so on.
During your time in Birmingham there will be plenty of time for you to explore the surrounding area – the huge shopping/eating area of New Street Station/Bullring is just across the road and the canal network with canal-side restaurants only a few minutes’ walk away.
