Christmas Gifts for local Children

Christmas Gifts for local Children

in

Like so many other parts of the Country, Pembrokeshire is blessed with a number of extremely hardworking charities.  One such charity is PATCH  (Pembrokeshire Action To Combat Hardship).  We are delighted to provide ongoing support to PATCH in the form of Christmas gifts for children (our members provide a suitable gift rather than partaking in a Secret Santa amongst members).  This year we have also given a cheque of £1700.00 to support this year’s Christmas Toy Appeal.  Each 0 – 17 old referred receives 4-5 new gifts, together with chocolates and art materials.  The gifts are supplied with wrapping paper to ensure that friends and family are part of the preparation and delivery of the gifts.       Pictured presenting a cheque for £1700.00 to PATCH                             L to R  President Julia

Children’s Card Competition

We recently ran a very successful competition for children aged 11 years and under and are pleased to announce the results together with pictures of the winning entries. The level of entries was extremely high and everyone on the judging committee agreed that they would have been delighted to have received any of the cards.  Thank you to everyone who entered and of course to the grown ups involved in delivering the entries by email. Each of the winners has received a Craft Set and we hope they enjoy using it to get creative all over again. Under 5 Years – Sophie Allen who made a Birthday Card for her Grandad who loves his garden. Well done Sophie we hope Grandad’s garden is this colourful! Age 5 – 8 (Incl) – Sofia Berry who made a Birthday Card for a shielding neighbour. Well done Sofia
