At our meeting on 23 January CHAS Chief Executive Officer, Maria McGill, gave members an informative, sincere and very moving talk. She highlighted the many aspects of her work and recalled happy memories staff share with the families they meet. CHAS is a charity that provides the only hospice services in Scotland for children and young people who have life-shortening incurable conditions. CHAS runs two children’s hospices, Rachel House in Kinross and Robin House in Balloch, a home care service called CHAS at Home and employs Diana Children’s Nurses. Their services are funded mainly through the generosity of supporters who help raise the vital funds needed to provide these hospice services.
