On a sunny, if slightly windy!!! June day, our Woman Zone event in Leigh Civic Square brought together many local organisations and services. The event was ‘declared open’ by Federation President Sue and we were visited by Wigan Mayor Sue Greensmith and her Consort Allen Greensmith. There was plenty of interest from the local community and our Soroptimist Membership and Project stalls saw lots of queries about our organisation. The Parish Church Vestry was manned by Leigh Soroptimists who did a sterling job of providing, tea, coffee, cake and toast to all who visited including our VIP guests, Soroptimists and stall holders.
