The club bowling team are celebrating another enjoyable season of friendly competition against sister clubs of S.Lancashire! We finished a creditable third in the league. We were especially thrilled that new members came along to practice matches as well as competing in league games. It has been a really sociable and friendly competition and a great way to get to know other members from the region. Special thanks to our club captain Sharon and also Ann Pagendam for providing a home ground at Calderfield, behind the Halfway House. We are looking forward to next season. Come and join us!

In June, four club members attended an afternoon conference, hosted by the Geography dept. of Liverpool University, on the 17 UN sustainable development goals. Representatives across a variety of city businesses, as well as Soroptimists from the Wirral and North Wales enjoyed an afternoon that not only updated us on the development goals and how they apply to every country, but the afternoon also included practical activities too. It was an enjoyable and educational event!
