It was with great sadness that we heard of the recent death of Christine Fulton who had been a former member of SI Maidstone and a past South East England Regional President (1991/92).
In 2008 Christine moved from Maidstone to return to her home town in Bedfordshire to be nearer her sister and joined SI Bedford as her commitment to being a Soroptimist remained strong. She always missed her friends in SI Maidstone and SISEE Region. Christine remained a friend of the Maidstone club and returned to join the 60th celebrations at Tenterden when we celebrated the Region’s and Maidstone’s 60th Anniversaries in May 2019 and at an Adult Literacy Coffee Morning in September 2019.
Within SI Medway and Maidstone all who knew Christine feel very blessed to have known her. She was such a delightful, warm hearted and intelligent person and she will be missed. Our thoughts are with her family and Soroptimist sisters.
