Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists organised a Friendship Link Get Together via Zoom on 7 December. Members from SI Accra, SI Heswall, SI Osnabruck and SI Voorburg joined us, along with Farbin and Teresa, two of our new members.
The theme of the gathering was ‘Orange the World’ as it took place during the 16 Days of Activism.
It was good to hear how each of the clubs had been raising awareness to end violence against women. SI Heswall shared how they had an ‘Orange the World’ themed Food Bank collection. SI Voorburg had been putting up banners and distributing leaflets. It was good to share these ideas and fully appreciate being part of a truly international organisation of women working together.
