Easter Gifts for the Refuges

As Easter approaches Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists wanted to ensure the women and children in both local Refuges are remembered

Our friendship link club SI Voorburg had donated monies to us for our 75th anniversary.  These monies were to be spent on activities relating to domestic abuse. There was a small sum of money still remaining. It was agreed to buy Easter eggs for the children in residence, chocolates for the mothers and staff with these monies.

The Refuges were contacted to identify the number of children, and these included a young baby.

The photographs show Carol McKeough and Angela Howe with the Easter eggs and a teddy bear for the baby and a Bunny rabbit for a toddler.

The gifts were delivered to the Refuges in plenty of time for Easter.
