At the July club meeting, we were pleased to welcome Mel Dann Adamson as a new member. Carol Infanti, Membership Officer presented Mel with her name badge.
Mel wanted to join the Soroptimists because she believes in our core values of improving the lives of women and girls. She is a wife and a mother of two daughters, who wants to ensure that she is doing all that she can to shape their lives by empowering, educating and enabling them the opportunity to be strong women in the future .
She was introduced to the club by Annette Davies, who is also godmother to Mel’s daughters.
Mel works in the care sector and says, ‘I enjoy my job immensely. Every day is different and comes with different challenges but it’s also rewarding. I enjoy making a difference in people’s lives in my everyday role. I’m a people person who enjoys meeting new people, getting to know them and learning about their lives.’
