What is a Soroptimist?
The word “Soroptimist” is from two Latin roots: soro (sister) and optima (best, highest good). Literally translated Soroptimist means “that which is best for women.”
Soroptimist International is an organisation for women who wish to work to transform the lives of women and girls worldwide. Membership is of your local club, but entitles you to attend any meeting of any club throughout the world.
