We work locally and globally to improve the lives of women and children.
We provide financial support for charities through fundraising at our social events.
Members are also encouraged and supported to have a personal involvement in local charities.
Our Presidents Charity for 2023-2025 is:
- “Save the Family”, a Chester based charity. Save the Family offers temporary housing and round-the-clock support to homeless and at-risk families. Their rural site provides tailored assistance from a trauma-informed team, empowering families to overcome challenges and build a brighter future.
Every year SI Nantwich participates along with other Soroptimist groups around the World in the Orange Campaign of the United Nations – to prevent Violence against Women.
This year 2024 we have been co-operating with a local women’s group HerSpace to hold an Orange Café on 30th November 2024 at Nantwich Bookshop 10:30 to 15:30
- “The Orange Café” part of a United Nations campaign to help end violence against women. Our aim is to mobilise people and highlight issues relevant to preventing and ending violence against women and girls.
