Good afternoon Sir,
My name is Cris Young I am Secretary for Soroptimist International Newcastle upon Tyne.
Our aim to to help and support women and girls world wide and locally if they are in need.
Our e mail address is sigbi.org
As you are aware the demand on food banks all over the country is at a high level at the moment.
The increase in demand is now 89%.
My mission over the next few weeks is to request that Supermarkets can put something in place where when customers are on line shopping they can now
click on a product which can be put with the rest of the items the in store shoppers have donated for food banks.
Is there any way as a company you could choose 20-30 essential products for under £1 which a customer can click on when they are shopping on line.
The product they click on can then be picked with the rest of their shopping but the item they have chosen for the food bank donation can then be put to one side
And put with the donations already collected by in store shoppers.
Or if this is not possible how about having a collection point for donations when customers are doing click and collect.
The potential is that there will be thousands of customers who will be able to donate something when shopping on line.
This would help so many families who are suffering at this very difficult time.
Thank you for your time.
Please don’t hesitate to contact me if I have not explained myself very well.
Best regards
Cris Young.
