8 10 2024 SI Glasgow City member and Past International President Ann Garvie received her SIGBI 50Years Long Service Certificate from Joint President Margaret.
11 07 2024 SI Glasgow City member Kate was presented with her SIGBI 40Years Long Service Certificate by Joint President Liz. Kate reaches the great age of 95 years during July 2024.
Congratulations are due to SI Hamilton Programme Action Officer Gwen, who was awarded Medallist of the Order of the British Empire, (BEM), for Charitable Services in South Lanarkshire.
Gwen was nominated for this award by the SSPCA, 25 years service; seconded by Marie Curie, 20 years service. Gwen has been asked if she would agree to have the information about her BEM published in the SSPCA magazine.

Long Service given by member recognised!
SI Edinburgh member Kathleen received gift of quaich in recognition of her log service to Edinburgh Sir Walter Scott Club, 6 06 2024.
SI Glasgow City member Pat received volunteer certificate to thank her for her many years of support for Tomorrow’s Women Glasgow for women leaving the Criminal Justice System.
Hannah. primary school teacher from Fife, a survivor of abuse, spoke on her experiences and what she is doing to make positive changes to help others.
Zoom speaker Livia, Head of Projects at NOVE, an Italian NGO which has been operating in Italy since its foundation in 2012, and Afghanistan since 2023. NOVE helps vulnerable people, especially women, children and people with disabilities. Livia spoke on her work in Afghanistan. To learn more about NOVE click here.

SI Kirkcaldy President Sally is continuing as President for a further 6 months, when President Elect Maureen will take over as President.
20 04 2024 SI Glasgow City members Madeleine, Ruth and Fiona set up a stall at the Annual Conference of the British Association of Speakers. They were pleased to meet President Catherine, SI Leamington Spa, who spoke on the Diamond Jubilee Fund. President Catherine is 3rd left in photo below.
