Milford Village Hall is less than a mile from the Elstead/Milford junction of the A3, just south of Guildford. Coming from the south it is the first major junction after the tunnel, from the north if you have gone through the tunnel you missed it! The entrance is on the right coming from the A3, opposite Secretts Farm Shop. At the back of the building there is a large car park able to accommodate over 50 cars. Access to the hall is by steps and a ramp and the hall is equipped with a hearing loop.
Outline agenda for the day:
0930-1000 Arrival and tea/coffee made by members of SI Surrey Hills
1000-1100 Regional Council meeting (‘Ask the RMT’) and session on ‘What do you want from region?’
1100-(ish) Coffee break
1130-1230 Club Programme Action presentations (5-6 mins each)
1245-(ish) Lunch, with sandwiches (platters from M&S or similar, vegetarian and non-vegetarian only) and a bowl of borscht which is being made by the Ukrainian ladies.
1330-(ish) Presentation from the Ukrainian women of Godalming, telling us stories of women’s lives in Ukraine today
1430-(ish) Report from SI Epsom/SI Lviv on work giving support to Ukraine
1545-(ish) Carriages.
Visitors are welcome from 1100 onwards.
There is ample space around the hall for tables, so clubs may bring a presentation if they wish. A recycling table will be included (list of items to be issued shortly).
