About our Club

The Soroptimist Club in Stafford has been active for over 85 years.

We are a lively club with over 40 members – not only from Stafford, but also from Stone, Penkridge, Eccleshall and further afield too. We come from all walks of life, and many of our members have backgrounds in health, education and business.

We have a Club Meeting on the first Tuesday of each month at Stafford Rangers Football Club at 7pm.  We aim to have varied meetings – there may be a speaker, we discuss our projects and how they are progressing, and there is always a chance for members to put forward their views, and listen to each other. Topics range from the fun to the thought-provoking, and of course we focus on those matters that are very relevant to our central purpose, which is improving the lives of women and girls.

Apart from Club Meetings there are opportunities to eat together, and we hold social events and activities that raise awareness about issues concerning women and girls. See the What’s On page for more details.
