St Giles Hospice
St Giles Hospice is a registered charity providing high-quality medical and nursing care for local people living with cancer and other serious illnesses, as well as offering support for their families and helpers.The dedicated team provides individually-tailored care either at the hospice or in patients’ own homes across the region. The range of specialist services is provided free of charge to all who need it.

Meningitis Trust
Meningitis Trust was set up in 1986 to fight meningitis. Meningitis Trust merged with Meningitis UK in 2013, and became Meningitis Now. it aims to save lives and rebuild futures by funding research, raising awareness and providing support.

Cecily’s Fund
Cecily’s Fund is a UK-registered charity that makes education possible for orphaned and vulnerable Zambian children.

Krizevac Project
SI Tamworth supports this by collecting old sewing machines, books and bikes.

Love the One
Love the One was founded by Dr Catherine Morris – Jan’s daughter and her friend Dr Mary Cusack. It is based in India to provide poor and orphaned children not only with free medical care but with love and counselling too.

Mary’s Meals and Mary’s Meals Backpack Project
Mary’s Meals provide a daily meal in a place of education, chronically poor children are attracted to the classroom where they can gain a basic education that provides an escape route from poverty. Over 600,000 children around the world, in countries including Malawi, Liberia and Haiti are feed by Mary’s meals.

The Backpack Project helps children from poor families in countries like Malawai and Liberia get to school.

Sight Savers
Sight Savers work with partners in 30 countries in Africa, Asia, and the Caribbean to help restore sight, prevent blindness and promote equality for people who are irreversibly blind.

Starfish Project
Star fish is an outreach from the Tamworth Covenant churches offering 3 drop in centres in Tamworth. It aims to offer a listening ear to those with problems such as drugs, alcohol, homelessness, loneliness or with domestic or financial problems.

Tamworth Community First Responders
Tamworth CFR group is a newly formed Community First Responder Group based in Fazeley, Staffordshire. Our mission is to provide a Community based First Responder Team to cover the Tamworth and Fazeley areas of Staffordshire.

Acorns Children’s Hospice
This was one of our charities for 2011 – 2012

Alzheimers Research
Researchers are currently conducting looking into the cause, cure, care and prevention of dementia, including Alzheimer’s disease, to improve treatment for people today, and search for a cure for tomorrow. This was one of our charities for 2014 – 2015.

Alzehemiers Society
Their Singing for the brain project was our main charity in 2010 – 2011

Elizabeth Svendsen Trust
The Elisabeth Svendsen Trust for Children and Donkeys (EST) is a UK based charity dedicated to providing riding therapy with donkeys to children with special needs and disabilities. This was one of our charities for 2012 – 2013.

Food Cycle
Monies raised from our Christmas raffle in 2011 went to this charity.

Headway
This charity works to improve life after brain injury and was our main charity in 2009 – 2010

Hearing Dogs for the Deaf
Hearing Dogs for Deaf People is a national charity and centre of excellence in training dogs to alert deaf people to important sounds and danger signals in the home, work place and public buildings. This was our main charity in 2004-2005

Midlands Air Ambulance
The Midlands Air Ambulance is the only Charity responsible for funding and operating three Air Ambulances serving the communities of Gloucestershire, Herefordshire, Shropshire, Staffordshire, Worcestershire and the West Midlands. This constitutes the largest air ambulance operating region in the UK. This was one of main charities in 2012 – 2013.

National Literacy Trust
The National Literacy Trust is an independent charity that believes everyone in the UK should have the literacy skills they need. This was our main charity in 2007-2008

Practical Action
They deliver practical projects worldwide to improve people’s access to energy, clean water and toilets.

Royal Centre for Defence Medicine Patient Welfare Fund
The fund is used entirely to enhance patients stay, provide luxuries and improve the quality of life during admission at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham. This was one of our main charities for 2012 – 2013.

Samaritan’s Purse
SI Tamworth support their Operation Christmas Child appeal.

Sharon Fox Cancer Centre
The Sharon Fox Cancer Centre is a unique Cancer Support Centre offering free support and therapies to patients, families and carers.

WellChild
This was one of our charities for 2011 – 2012
