Our Soroptimist sister Ros had prepared so well for the flower arranging session and traditional English afternoon tea. The weather was perfect and we sat under an awning, with a fan . It was enjoyable and relaxing, with chat and laughter. Cool drinks and then a ‘proper’ tea. We then had a whip round and raised £70 for our Kori Project which is always gratefully received. All in all we agreed it was a very pleasant afternoon. Thank you Ros !

SI Thames Valley are delighted that our member Johanna Raffan has taken office as SIGBI Federation President 2020/2021. In these peculiar times she was not at the planned  conference in Belfast, but in her own at home, as    all the presenta tions were broadcast via virtual conferencing. So the members of SITV sent her two beautiful table arrangements of flowers and a large bouquet, in subtle colours.   These were delivered in the morning of the first day of conference. Congratulations Johanna and enjoy your year, even though you will not be travelling the world as much as you thought you would.         ‘A force to be reckoned with’ Just prior to conference, Johanna was interviewed by Adrian Williams of the Maidenhead Advertiser.   To read his report published on 29 October 2020 visit https://www.maidenhead-advertiser.co.uk/archive/29/maidenhead-news
