Soroptimist (Fylde) Limited is a registered charity, which operates under the banner “Speak Up For Women”, because that is what we do!
HOW DO WE “SPEAK UP”? One way is to give out grants to assist local individuals and support local projects. The grant monies must be needed or used for one or more of the following purposes:
-
To relieve financial need, hardship or distress (in particular women and children in need)
-
To promote good health (in particular the good health of women and children)
-
To advance education and training (in particular for the benefit of women and children)
IF YOU ARE AN INDIVIDUAL:
- you may apply for a grant if you wish to use the money for one of the above purposes
- you (or the person who will benefit from the grant monies) must have lived in the Borough of Fylde for five years and have evidence to show this
- You may apply for a grant of up to £500
IF YOU WANT THE GRANT MONIES TO RUN A PROJECT:
- you may apply for a grant if you are part of a group running (or wanting to start) a project, which will benefit the local community in one of the above ways
- you must be able to show that the project will benefit residents (in particular but not necessarily exclusively, women and children) living in the Borough of Fylde.
- You may apply for a grant of up to £3000
