MEET THE BLUEBELL BUS & THE TEAM

Say ‘Hello’ to Bluebell Bus and her 7,000 mile, 2 year adventure!

CLUB MEMBERS are joining the Bluebell Bus at the start of their 7,000 mile adventure to travel the length of the coastal footpath walk of both Great Britain and Ireland starting on Monday March 5th 2018! This epic journey is to promote nationally, the Charity Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care transport service nationally. This is free of charge in the Tyne and Wear area, for cancer patients that require to get to and from hospital for treatment.

The charity proposes that with the Bluebell Bus and its travelling team will get the word out about how “HUBS” can be managed and run locally, to create a DAAB CPC service in their locality and therefore collectively, provide nationally one million high quality cancer patient care journeys each year.

Come and cheer them off on Monday 5 March 2018 when they begin the epic walk from the Newcastle Quayside (Millennium Bridge) walking to the Tyneside Priory and then anti-clockwise around Great Britain and Ireland then back to Newcastle in circa two years.

James Colville Bluebell’s Driver! I’ve a background in tourism and road haulage driving trucks and buses around Europe and Asia, so I’m convinced that a life on the road is the life for me. Daft As a Brush is a wonderful venture and I’m really excited to be playing a part in spreading the message and raising its profile.
Brian Burnie aka The Gov’ner Meet Brian Burnie, the heart, soul and driving force behind the much-loved Charity Daft as a Brush Cancer Patent Care. Brian will be with Bluebell each day walking over 7,000 miles for two years!
