A Purrrrfect donation from Wakefield Soroptimists

SI Wakefield donated a robotic dementia therapy cat to local nursing home Inwood House this week following the visit of speaker Sheila Wainwright who visited our club last month to speak about their use in soothing dementia therapy. The club plans to obtain more Robopets and donate to other homes locally to help care home residents who may have had pets in the past and can use the cats to access happy, fond memories and improve their wellbeing. The pets exhibit purring behaviour and lifelike movements to add to their interactive value as therapy tools. RoboPets | Robotic Interactive Companion Pets | UK and EU
