Jubilee tree planting and dinner – 1 June, 2012

Club members with the red oak planted to mark the Queen’s diamond jubilee.
There were tiaras for everyone at the jubilee dinner. Seated is 2012-13 club president Margaret Carr with members and guests behind her.

Being a Soroptimist isn’t all hard work. To celebrate the Queen’s diamond jubilee the club planted a red oak tree in the grounds of Statham Lodge. A memory box with contributions from club members was buried nearby.

The tree planting was followed by a celebration dinner at the lodge with plenty of bunting and tiaras for all.
