Soroptimists are Championing Women & Girls in Science at #CSW69
A Decade of Progress and Challenges – 12 February 2025 The International Day of Women and Girls in Science (IDWGS), observed annually on 11 February, marks a crucial moment to reflect on the progress made towards gender equality in science and to reaffirm commitments to breaking down the barriers that still exist. Established by the United Nations General Assembly in 2015, IDWGS highlights the persistent gender gap in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) and the urgent need to ensure full and equal participation for women and girls in these fields.
