Saturday of Service
On Saturday 10th March, 2018, the Proposed Soroptimist International Anaparima hosted a morning of recreation and fellowship for the residents of Shangri La Soroptimist Retirement Home at the San Fernando Hill in commemoration of International Women’s Day 2018.
We enjoyed an enlivening morning with the residents who all gleefully participated in the ‘name that tune’ game and proudly displayed their artistic talents though the Q-tip art project. Much to our surprise and great delight, the residents treated us to a wonderful dance show whilst they reminisced and enjoyed the tunes of yesteryear.
Our fun-day with our Shangri La friends concluded with the imparting of pearls of wisdom by the residents through our “advice to younger self” reflection activity. Our Saturday of Service 2018 refreshed the spirits, energized the minds and warmed the hearts of us all.
