SI Durham in partnership with Guides and Brownies, are making waterproof and thermal blankets for the homeless out of clean crisp packets which are covered with large sheets of plastic, donated by clothing shops. This not only provides warm blankets but is also a good example of REUSE, RECYCLE and REDUCE, as less plastic is sent to landfill.
