A regular “fun” fundraiser for us for 2017 was running the Sausage Sizzle at Bunnings, Park Farm, Folkestone, on selected Sundays which allowed us to fund raise to support The Beacon, Folkestone to purchase equipment for their sensory garden, and for us to continue to support the local Women’s refuge.
Bunnings have imported the Sausage Sizzle from their native Australian stores and allow community groups to run the Sausage Sizzle as a fundraiser . Every Aussie worth their salt knows the glory of a Bunnings’ snag sizzle. It’s basically their national dish. The home brand bread, soft and laced with E numbers, the chargrilled snag served with caramelised onion and a lashing of tomato sauce (or barbeque sauce). Don’t let this national delicacy pass you by, look out for us running the store in our bright yellow aprons and come and support our charities. Just don’t ask us for bacon or a cup of tea!
