School Prize
Since 2013 the club has awarded the Soroptimist Prize at the Achievement Evening at Central Lancashire High School. A £50 token is given to the student who most upholds Soroptimist values at school or in the community.
Story Sacks
The club has been making and presenting Story Sacks to local primary schools since 2002. In 2024 we presented the Storm Whale, our 50th one, to Sandylands school in Morecambe.
Welcome Boxes for Women’s Refuge.
We supply the refuge in Lancaster with decorated boxes containing food and drink items so that each woman can be given one upon arrival. Our boxes make a real difference in the first difficult day or so until the necessary benefits can be put in place for her. Although we never meet the recipients, we like them to know that other women care.
