We were absolutely delighted to hear that Federation has awarded our project “Urban GreenUp- Nature Based Solutions” as Best Practice for Planet 2020! Club members linked up with two Post graduate students from Liverpool University as part of the Community Engagement to green up the cities and mitigate climate change. We carried out pollinator research in the local parks and engaged in community seminars which are still ongoing. Club members were also given a talk about Nature Based Solutions which is a relatively new environmental concept. Congratulations to our then Programme Officer Elaine for putting forward the project! It wont be long before we will be planting 100 trees near the city centre.
