
Soroptimists Volunteer at Dandelion Time May Fayre

Sue Hunt sadly passed away at home on Friday 14th March.

On Saturday 19th April, two Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists, Jane and Stella Barnes joined with other community volunteers to take part in a Foreshore Litter Pick on the River Medway.

Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists chose to support the ‘Give in Lent’ appeal. They asked members to bring their donations to the AGM being held on 10 April.

We were really pleased that President Sue Edgar accompanied by Susie Forbes were able to join us on 10th April for our AGM chaired by Angela Howe followed by a buffet supper.

We are sad to announce the death of Liz Duckworth on 17 February, shortly after a diagnosis of cancer.

With such busy schedules for members over the Festive period, Medway and Maidstone members decide to have an After Christmas Party on 18 January.

At every monthly club meeting, Medway and Maidstone members bring in their empty blister packs to be taken for recycling to Superdrug in Sittingbourne.

In President Ruth’s February Membership blog on the Hub, her focus was on volunteers and the diversity of Soroptimist volunteers.

On 30 January, Julia Search Friendship Link Officer organised and hosted our first virtual Get together for 2025.
