The Climate Coalition https://www.theclimatecoalition.org/show-the-love organised a #ShowTheLove campaign throughout February. Seventeen Medway and Maidstone Soroptimists took time out from their Day of Reflection event on 25 February to go outside and #ShowTheLove for our planet. Members had been asked to wear something green and hold green hearts kindly made by one of our members, Maya Bangar. WHY SHOW THE LOVE? – with soaring energy bills, ever-increasing extreme weather and threats to the natural world are leaving our communities at risk and paying the price. After the freezing cold and icy weather in the early part of the month, it was with some trepidation two members of Medway and Maidstone set off, all wrapped up to join other volunteers at Rochester Esplanade Sensory Garden for the first Gardening Task Day in 2023.
