This year our theme is “Progress not Perfection”. As part of my year as Regional President I would like to have a lasting record of members’ personal views of our theme, and of course I need your help with this. So I have asked our three elected members – Val, Melanie and Jenny – to devise a to capture our members’ visual take on the theme of “Progress not Perfection.
All you have to do is submit a photo of what “Progress not Perfection” represents to you.
It can be of anything you like – from wherever your imagination takes you.
You don’t need expensive camera equipment. Phone cameras are perfectly good enough. Use whatever you like – even a home-made pinhole camera!
You don’t have to work alone – you can buddy-up or work in a group if you prefer.
And of course, we’re Soroptimists, so naturally there will be a celebration of all this hard work.
All the images submitted will be shown at the March 2022 Regional Meeting, and there will be prizes for the three images which are voted most popular by the delegates.
1. WHO CAN TAKE PART?
All Soroptimists in Midland Chase are eligible. You don’t need to be an expert or have a fancy camera – any device will do – we’re not looking for perfection!
2. WHAT DO I DO?
Send any photo that best expresses for you the theme: “Progress Not Perfection.”
3 . WHAT ARE THE DATES?
Starts Friday 27th November 2021 – ends Saturday 28th January 2022.
4. WHERE DO I SEND MY ENTRY?
Email your photo to photocomp@simidlandchase.org.uk
5. ARE THERE PRIZES?
There will be a prize for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd placed photos.
6. HOW IS IT JUDGED?
There is a 3 stage judging process. The final (third) stage is a vote on the shortlisted photos to be taken at the following Regional Meeting on 5th March 2022.
Please do enter and make sure that “Progress not Perfection” has a permanent place in Midland Chase regional history.
I’m really looking forward to seeing what you create. Thank you for your support.
Finally, as we enter the festive season, may I wish every member a very Merry Christmas and a happy and healthy New Year.
Yours in friendship
Judith
