Fair Trade Evening

Once again we held this Fair Trade Evening at the end of President Judith’s presidency.

It was held on 28th March and hosted by Liz Cooley.  We had a fantastic turn out with at least 25 members in attendance.

Christina Ellaby liaised with our local Co-op shop in Weaverham and bought up a great selection of goodies ranging from Fair Trade Prosecco to wonderful Fair Trade dark chocolate.

At the evening we also had a superb array of food brought by the Ladies, many Soroptomisters attended as well and helped to “clear the plates” !

The raffle was very generous with all goods donated and not a single bottle of wine that had “done the rounds” of raffles !

The Co-op donated £28.52 and with the raffle we made £305.50p.

Christina has written to thank Richard and his Team for all their help in making this such a successful and enjoyable social event .
