Teddy Tombola supporting our Local Hospice 2024

Teddy Tombola 2024

Runcorn/Frodsham Soroptimists have been running a ‘Teddy Tombola’ stall at the ‘Festival in the Park’ Frodsham since 2009, raising funds for our local Hospice. The Festival is staged by partners ‘Rotary’ as part of the community voluntary sector for the Festival.

Throughout the year all club members collect Teddies and Soft toys for the Teddy Tombola Event, these are washed ready for the stall – pictured here Teddies hanging out to dry. Members of the club man the stall throughout the day.

Our club runs the Tombola in aid of our local hospice ‘Halton Haven’.

Here are the teddies waiting to be numbered ready to go to Festival in The Park in Frodsham the next day, and getting excited about being on the #Soroptimist Tombola stall raising funds for Halton Haven

Every number is a winner, and the teddies are wondering where their new homes will be?! Huge thanks to all who have donated their pre-loved ‘teddies’ – they will all be going to a good home.

The BIG day has arrived, the stall is set out – our organising team is having a last minute rest before the event begins, and here are some of the lovely cuddly toys ready to be won at our stall at the Festival.

The rain has stopped and the sun has come out and the teddies are getting together to celebrate with ‘A Teddy Bears Picnic, before they go to their new homes, as ‘EVERY CHILD IS A WINNER’

Children particularly enjoy our stall and certainly come back again each year, as our members say: “the expressions of wonder and love on the children’s faces stay with you as they leave hugging their new friend” – just one of the many reasons why the club has supported this event for the last 14 years. Pictured here team leader Larraine with her niece and her new ‘friend’.

This year we were able to raise over £300 for the hospice, which enables men and women who need palliative care, to be looked after near their families.

Just a few toys left at the end of the day.

Now looking forward to making an appearance next year.
