The club enjoys a post Christmas de-clutter meeting. For the January club meeting, we ask for bras, toiletries, jewellery, sleepwear. glasses, unused medical supplies, stamps. These are sorted and sent to various charities.
The bras go to a Breast Cancer Charity (againstbreastcancer.org.uk) and Smalls for All (smallsforall.org). The glasses and unused medical supplies to Jacob’s Well (jacobswellappeal.org). The stamps are for the Leprosy Mission. (leprosymission.org.uk) and the toiletries and sleepwear go to EVA Women’s Aid (evawomensaid.org.uk). The jewellery went to The Alzheimer’s Society. (alzheimers.org.uk).
We had fun sorting the donations. This year we decided to use some of the items for a humorous photo. SIGBI awarded it Photo of the Month.
