Fire in shop next to Central Station, Glasgow, 8 03 2026!

On IWD, 8 03 2026, a huge fire started in a shop adjacent to Central Station, Glasgow, destroying several businesses, a large Victorian building, & causing the Station to have to close.  Thanks to all Emergency Services for their responses.

Twelfth photo shows SI Dunfermline President with two speakers, celebrating IWD, 12 03 2026.  The audience for this event included representation from other organisations, and the community.

Speakers were Steph Drummond from the Domestic Violence Investigation Unit, who spoke about the Scottish equivalent of Clare’s Law; newest member Lynsey spoke about the struggle and success she achieved in making sure women in the engineering workplace have the correct PPE.
