Scottish Soroptimists joined 1600 members from around the world for the 3 day Convention in Dublin on 27 07 2023.

The joint Scotland North and South poster was displayed along with posters from Clubs, Regions, and National Associations across the Federations.

28 07 2023 Friendship Evening:
At the end of the speaker programme, members met with Soroptimists from around the world. Dolly from Mongolia met Liz from SI Glasgow City.
For exercise after speaker sessions, members took the opportunity to look around Dublin.
Sights seen in Dublin:
Statues commemorating the mid 19th century famine during which one million people died. One million more emigrated from Ireland.
Tall Ship, The Jeannie Johnston, carried over 2,500 people over 8 years to North America during the famine.
A statue of Daniel O’Connell, former Lord Mayor of Dublin, stands atop the monument looking towards the Irish Parliament.

Proposed cruise to Alaska as announced on 29 7 2023 cancelled on 16 10 2023. Alternative venues within the countries of SI of the Americas to be researched by SI 2027 Convention Chair Sharon and her Committee.
