I have a few of these white cotton Soroptimist branded facemasks available for sale at £5 each, a great way of raising the profile locally as it looks like we are going to be wearing masks for some time to come. They are handmade by a friend of mine who generously donated her time as well as materials. I will cover p&p, so all the funds received from the sales will go to our Regional VIP project. Thirteen (lucky for some) Past Regional Presidents met up recently for their annual get together over lunch. It was a chance to catch up with each other’s news, reminisce over times past and of course to do what Past Presidents do best, set the Soroptimist world to rights! A quick count round the lunch table revealed that together they have 365 years’ Soroptimist membership and service between them. The ‘Has Beens’, as they have named themselves, were pleased to welcome to their membership Immediate Past Regional President Danny Sparkes and to wish Ruth Healey well with her forthcoming election for Federation Vice President. Thanks were given to Sue Pritt, who organised the event for yet another successful year.
