New President’s Evening, 25 April 2024 at Kingswood Restaurant

Congratulations to St Austell and District’s 2024-2025 joint Presidents Kay and Diane. A great start to the new presidential year for our new Presidents at their new president event last night. Superb food, great company and to celebrate it being the 25th, “Orange Day”, a day to raise awareness and take action to end violence against women and girls, there was an Orange Tombola, the proceeds of which will go towards the Presidents’ charities: St Petroc’s, Women’s Centre Cornwall and Mermaid Centre. We were joined by our Soroptimist sister Daphne from Tiverton and District Soroptimists, who has a very strong connection to the club. Yesterday was also Club member Jackey’s birthday and she was presented with a beautiful clematis for her garden. Continuing the new presidents’ theme of soroptimist being ‘different flowers from the same garden’.
