During the club year 2021-2022 with President Nettie as our lead and despite the restrictions imposed by the coronavirus pandemic the club supported many local and international charities and gave service. The Presidents Charities chosen charities were The Beach Guardian & CLIC Young lives v Cancer.
LOCALLY
Women’s Refuges – We support both Mid Cornwall Refuges with collections of items specifically requested, often toiletries, bedlinen and children’s play items. A special fund for school uniform and emergency supplies for babies has been set up at CWRT. We have annual collections at local supermarkets, and an annual fundraising Barn Dance. New garden furniture, swimming trips, visits to Eden have been provided. Suprermarket food vouchers, buckets & bowls with cleaning items for women leaving the Refuges was a project begun in 2021 as part of the SI Centenary commemorations. Decorative, wrapped mugs with hand cream and chocolates were given to all women on Mothers Day.
