Meserani Project

Julie is presenting Diane with 80 bags that she has sewn which are to be taken to Tanzania and used for feminine hygiene packs. The Meserani Project has been supported by Stockton club for many years.

Fund Raising

At our recent meetings one of our members gave a talk about owning a house in France. This was followed by coffee and cake, plus a bring and buy sale. This raised £170 which will be sent to DEC for the Turkey/Syria Earthquake appeal.  

Purple Rose visits

Members visited the Purple Rose drop-in centre in Stockton to deliver many donated items including bedding, kitchen equipment, suitcases, clothes, toys, nappies and a sewing machine. The Purple Rose charity supports refugees and asylum seekers.

New Start Bags

Julie and Sue delivered 7 New Start bags to Cheryl James of the Cleveland Police Complex Exploitation Team. This is part of an ongoing project using a grant from the Police Commissioner

Finding Families

At our February meeting, Louise Baldock gave a very interesting talk on genealogy. She described how using research together with DNA testing can help to identify missing family members.

Mumpreneur

New Start bags for Cleveland Police

The club was awarded a grant to supply new start bags, toilet bags for adults and children, mobile phones etc for victims of trafficking, exploitation and domestic abuse. A member of the Complex Exploitation team came to talk to us in November and was given
