Club members can find more detailed information on the “Protected” member area of the website.

The theme for our Centenary year (2020/2021) will be Wellbeing. The focus will be broad and will include wellbeing for oneself, for SI Bristol, for women and girls, for the local community and for the globe. The second theme will be Looking Further, which was the motto selected by the Venture Club of Bristol when it formed in 1920.

Members of SI Bristol are gathering information from the Bristol Archives for use in preparing a book to summarize the history of the Club. The target publication date is April 2020.

A Friendship Weekend was being planned for 8th to 10th May 2020, but as the early May Bank Holiday has been moved from Monday 4th to Friday 8th the possibility of changing the date is being evaluated.

On 18th September 2020, Alice Roberts will give two talks (one to 6th Formers from across Bristol and one to ticket-purchasing Soroptimists and general public) at Redland Hall, Redmaids’ High School.

SI Bristol and friends are knitting Trauma Teddy Bears for the Motorway Police to give to children involved an traffic accidents. 100 bears (one for each year the Club has been in existence) will be handed to the Motorway Police on 15th October 2019. Another 100 bears will be on display during the Friendship Weekend.
